hai Hai x The Cycle Charity Dinner

Hello Hai Society! As you probably realise by the breadth of talented interviewees we’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with over the last year, one of our favourite elements of owning this silky corner of the internet, is having the chance to connect with the women who inspire us. So when we were approached by our friends at charity, The Cycle, to co-create an event raising awareness around endometriosis and the work the charity do in India to help women without access to gynaecology, we couldn’t have been more excited to unite a few members of our growing network around this amazing cause.

The evening, which was hosted by Chelsea Leyland and Ayesha Shand (both endometriosis sufferers) at Petersham Nurseries in London, consisted of a beautiful dinner permeated with laughter and discussion about female experiences, and we were so happy to create an environment that acted as a safe space for sharing.

Our small but strong Hai team came together to organise the event alongside The Cycle and Kaylo, providing silky treasures as thank yous to the guests.

Friend of Hai and artist, Alexandria Coe, collaborated with us to create illustrated table runners for guests to interact with and add to throughout the evening.

A host of Hai friends were in attendance, kitted out in their silky wares and bringing their own individual styles and personalities to this evening of empowerment. From Hai photographer, Chengzhen’s little red bag adorned with matching miniature red ballet shoe and red Tabi Heels, to past interviewee Lowena with her Annie Blouse perfectly complimenting her signature white tights and long flowing wavy locks.

Food and wine flowed while new friendships were formed and we couldn't have been prouder to contribute to this evening that united women around the fight to make women's bodies and menstrual health be seen and recognised.
