What do you do?
Floral designer

Did you choose your profession or did it choose you?
I'd say it was a bit of both. I've always felt really connected to nature. It was a lightbulb moment when I suddenly realised I could make my passion for flowers into my job.

How would you describe your style of work and what do you love about it?
Simple, clean and elegant are words I'd like used to describe my style of work... My Floral designs are informed by nature and the flowers themselves. I take each stem and look at its shape and how it moves; that dictates how the arrangement is formed. I try not to mess around with the flowers too much and I respect each and every stem.

What is your favourite flower?
Tough question! Can I have a top 3?

Bearded iris
Icelandic poppies
Chocolate cosmos

What/where/who inspires you?
The flowers themselves are obviously a huge source of inspiration... from the delicacy of the petals to the gentle waft of their perfume, all of it can be harnessed and channelled. But, I'm inspired by so much!! I try to look at everything as potential inspiration, from architecture to poetry and novels... I don't want to feel restricted by vases or typical 'floristry' rules.

How would your friends describe you?
Eeek! You'd have to ask them... hopefully they'd say that I'm kind (and very, very funny)
