hai Ava Coffen
A warm welcome to our newest Hai Society member! All the way from the little bush town Warrandyte, Ava Coffen is now a London town girl. Ava does it all, from modelling and styling being her main focus to past experience with working in creative direction and music. In true rockstar fashion, she seems to have the energy to explore her creative abilities in full scale. We are fascinated by her authentic and fairytale style and it is undeniable that Ava posses that “it” factor.

Where do you call home?
My home is currently in London, but my true home is in a little bush town in Australia called Warrandyte <3
What/where/who inspires you?
What inspires me is actually music and history
Where inspires me is literally anywhere with a rich culture and arts scene
Who inspire me are actually people who work hard, give without expecting anything in return and people who have huge empathy towards others (we live in a very dog-eat-dog world, and I feel like I’m inspired more by these types of people than, say, celebrities)
What did you want to be when you grew up?
A rockstar or an ancient mummy
Where do you go if you need to escape for a bit?
Warrandyte River
What's your most played song at the moment?

Do you have any style icons, dead or alive?
Brian Jones from the rolling stones circa 1967
Favourite restaurant in the world?
Tough one - maybe Mario’s on Brunswick St, Melbourne (sentimental place and an institution)
Do you have any favourite artists/photographers/stylists currently?
my favourite photographer currently is Elizaveta Porodine her work is like modern Dadaist photography. It very much reminds me of Man Ray. Very refreshing and different to a lot of modern photography.
What’s your most treasured possession? My King Charles Cavalier, Turtle-Diddley
If you had to eat one breakfast food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Easy - coconut yoghurt w/ berries, granola and almond butter
Favourite vintage/second-hand store in the world?
One of Kind
What are your hopes and dreams for the rest of 2022?
To kick goals personally & professionally. I’d also love to have a holiday because I’ve been working really hard.
Where are you going to wear your Hai piece next?
Probably on my next trip to the grocery store because life’s too short to dress boring.
